Femgineer Forum: Tech Talk on Compelling Communication Hosted by Twilio
Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (PST)
San Francisco, CA
There are a number of issues women in tech face. While many panels and talks focus on chatting about these issues, there are very few that dig into solutions. Working hard alone isn't sufficient to get to the top. The purpose of the femgineer forum is to highlight and address the issues prevalent in today's tech companies, and give women solution for dealing with them. In this 90 minute session we will cover the following:
- How to interview at male dominated tech companies
- How to communicate concerns with supervisors
- How to craft an ASK regarding a promotion, pay raise, or change in role
You'll walk away with strategies you can use to communicate in a compelling manner with your team and supervisors.
This event is for all women in tech in any role: developers, designers, product managers, sales, and marketing.
